1] Check the network
The first thing you have to do when the setup is failing or having an issue with the wireless printer, you have to check if the network is working fine. Both the computer and printer have to be connected to the same network. Also, you have to enable Bluetooth on your PC for the HP Smart app to connect.
2] Check the printer connection status
The most important thing regarding the wireless connection of the printer using the HP Smart app is, both the printer and the PC has to be connected to the same Wi-Fi connection. If your PC is connected to the internet via ethernet cable, remove it. You have to check the wireless printer connection status. The light beside the Wireless icon has to be always on. Whenever the light is on, the wireless feature of the printer is working well.
3] Restore network settings to default on the printer
If you are using an HP printer with a touchscreen, you can restore network settings to default in the Network Setup or Settings and then by touching on the Restore button. In the same way, on inkjet, Laser NS, LaserJet, and Neverstop printers, you have to press the Wireless and Cancel or Attention buttons at the same time until the power button flashes. Then, wait for the Wireless button to indicate that the default network settings are restored.
4] Add the Printer to HP Smart again
If the issue is not yet fixed, you have to add the Printer to HP Smart again removing the previous setup. You have to make sure the networks are fine.
