Can I use a normal USB-C cable for Thunderbolt 3?
Yes, you can use a normal USB-C cable for the Thunderbolt 3 port. This convenience is because Thunderbolt 3 has adopted the USB-C format. However, the speed at which the data will transfer depends a lot on the quality of that USB-C Cable. Your USB-C Cable should not be more than 1.6 feet for you to get a 40 Gbps data transfer speed.
